Explorations
This website includes six exploration activities for students to complete, five of which present ecology concepts relevant to the tall grass prairie ecosystem, and one of which is highlights careers in ecology. Students may choose to work through the six ecosystem explorations in any order. Alternately, they may follow one of the suggested sequences listed in the three routes below. Each topical exploration includes a video to introduce the topic, video viewing questions, a set of web-based text selections for deeper study, and text set questions. The career exploration includes a video and related web-based activities. Additional resources are listed on a separate page.
